Vandalized trees replaced in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, B.C. – Following some hurtful vandalism, the village of Cumberland has risen.

Trees were destroyed along Sutton Road earlier this year, and now, the village has replaced them.

In a notice posted on the village’s website, residents were asked to report any form of vandalism to the Comox Valley RCMP, or village officials.

“Vandalism to public and private property affects us all either through our property taxes, direct costs to repair our property, or through our insurance rates,” the village stated.

The trees are lined up along the safe biking and walking path to the Cumberland Forest from the Cumberland Recreation Institute parking lot.
