Calendars for next three years approved by Comox Valley Schools

Calendars for the next three school years in the Comox Valley are now available.

The Comox Valley Board of Education approved district school calendars for 2026-2027, 2027-2028 and 2028-2029, establishing the start dates, holiday breaks and non-instructional days.

Comox Valley Schools said the calendars were planned several years in advance to provide greater predictability for students, families and staff and helps support the district and school planning.

The calendars were developed through the district’s calendar committee, which includes representatives from senior leadership, the Comox Valley Principals and Vice-Principals Association, the Comox District Teachers’ Association, CUPE Local 439, the District Parent Advisory Council and a trustee representative.

The approved calendars come after families, staff and community members were invited earlier this year to review draft calendars and provide feedback through a public survey.
