Coffee with a cop to start Tuesday in the Comox Valley

Community members will have a chance to speak with members of the Comox Valley RCMP this week.

As part of Police Week 2026, residents are invited to three Coffee with a Cop sessions to connect, ask questions, share concerns or stop by for a conversation.

Comox Valley RCMP officer in charge Insp. Scott Mercer said Police Week is about building relationships, strengthening trust and recognizing the importance of working together to keep communities safe.

“Coffee with a cop gives us a chance to step away from calls for service and connect with the people we serve in a more personal and informal way.”

Residents can drop in at Mudsharks Coffee Bar in Courtenay on Tuesday, May 12, The Mill Coffee in Comox on Wednesday, May 13, or Cumberland Grind Espresso & Smoothie Bar in Cumberland on Thursday, May 14.

Each event starts at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend, though no speeches or formal presentations will be held.
