Members of Comox Fire Rescue have been recognized for their hard work over the last year.
The department held its annual awards banquet. Chief Gord Schreiner says it’s important to take the time to recognize the hard work the volunteers put in over the year.
He says they awarded over 5 long-service medals, with one individual receiving a 35-year medal.
Brent Craven was awarded Rookie of the Year, while Dave Davies was awarded Firefighter of the Year.
