The following notice is from the city of Courtenay.
A note for Ryan Road commuters, a contractor will be working in the westbound slow lane between the Island Highway/HWY 19A and the Old Island Highway (beside the 7-11 and the Shell gas station) from Wednesday, October 21st to Friday, October 23rd. The hours of work will be 7:30 am to 5:00 pm each day.
The contractor has been issued a road work permit to drill some new ground water wells. The other traffic lane will be open at all times.
Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist all commuters.
