Comox Valley RCMP are reminding people to keep vehicles secure.
Constable Don Sinclair says it’s one of the focuses of their new proactive policing member in downtown Courtenay.
Sinclair says that RCMP are reminding vehicle owners to not leave valuables in their vehicles, like iPods, wallets etc.
Sinclair says it’s easy to get complacent about securing vehicles, but thefts from vehicles are crimes of opportunity and locking doors is the easiest deterrent.
