Kayakers will be able to benefit from increased flows in the Puntledge River this weekend.
BC Hydro Spokesperson Stephen Watson says they have been spilling water to make room for the rains from this week. He says the high flows will take place through Sunday. Watson adds there will be a solid from around 9 AM to 4 PM, but he reminds residents to take caution around the water system.
Watson says the flows are good for experience paddlers, but inexperienced paddlers and others should avoid the river while the flow is increased.
