BC Hydro discharging more water in Comox Lake reservoir

BC Hydro will continue to discharge high amounts of water in the Comox Lake reservoir.

Spokesperson Karla Louwers says water levels have been high – and over a 30-hour period this past week, Hydro saw much higher than forecasted inflows into the reservoir.

She says the maximum amount of discharge will go through until Wednesday. She says the reservoir is at 135.2 metres and has recently begun drafting.

Louwers says the discharge will decrease temporarily on Monday due to water work by the DFO.
