Local Comox Valley Auxiliary Constables have been honored for their hard work in the community.

Comox Valley RCMP Constable Rob Gardner says 4 members have been acknowledged for their 10 years of service, and have been presented with certificates of appreciation and a pin from the RCMP, as well as a 10-year pin from the Province.

Gardner says the auxiliary program is an integral part of the detachment and has served well in the area over the years. He says the Auxiliary Constables have volunteered an average of 4100 hours a year for the past 5 years.

Gardner notes that 7 other former and current Auxiliary members have also been recognized for their service to the community.
