2 dogs rescued by Oyster River fire crews

Two dogs are safe at home after being rescued from the Oyster River on the weekend.

Oyster River Fire Crews were called out late Saturday night to a report of two dogs stranded on the bank of the river. Deputy Fire Chief Chris Murray says crews used high angle rescue to retrieve the dogs.

Murray says the firefighter was lowered to about 50 feet.

Murray says the dogs were cold and wet, but otherwise unharmed.
