Thanks to quick thinking by a Comox Valley man, two men were rescued after their vessel sank just off Cape Lazo. Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue unit 60 crews assisted with the incident earlier this afternoon.
A spokesperson for RCM SAR 60 says the Coast Guard out of Powell River also helped out.
Together they searched the area where the vessel capsized and recovered 3 cans of gas nearby. No injuries were reported and the two men on the boat made it back to dry land safely.
