Federal Green Party leader holding town hall in Campbell River
The leader of the federal Green Party is making a stop in Campbell River this evening (Thursday, September 15) to talk about changes to how we vote.
A House of Commons Committee is currently reviewing electoral reform in Canada.
Elizabeth May sits on that committee.
She says it’s important to gather feedback from Canadians across the country to determine which new system should be brought in.
She says the voting system that’s brought in has to address the flaws of the first-past-the-post system.
The town hall is taking place at the Campbell River Museum, starting at 6:30.
