The Food Bank offers a pick-up service to collect donations in the Comox Valley.
You have the chance to help out fellow members of your community who are in need this holiday season.
The Comox Valley Food Bank collects items for the less fortunate in the region.
President Jeff Hampton says they accept a number of non-perishable food items, and are starting to expand in collecting perishables.
Hampton says they see an increase in donations around the holidays, but it’s important to remember that donations can be delivered year-round.
He notes the food bank offers a pick-up service if you cannot drop the food off yourself at their McPhee Avenue office in Courtenay.
Hampton says they also accept cash donations. 98.9 the Goat FM was on hand today helping collect donations for the food bank.
