Comox Valley PEP Coordinator reflects on stormy week

At the end of the day, no lives were lost, and nobody was injured, the bottom line from local Provincial Emergency Program Coordinator Mike Fornier on the Comox Valley getting hammered this week from a series of massive coastal storm systems.

But what about those huge traffic jams around the valley, from bridge and road closures? Fornier says the City of Courtenay, is working on coming up with a plan for that.

Meanwhile BC Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says residents need to keep clear of the Puntledge River for the next week or so…with massive amounts of water being spilled down the roaring watershed…
