Alternative Approval Process kicks in for Curling Centre upgrades

A new lease on life could be on the way for the Comox Valley Curling Centre, to the tune of 1.9 million dollars, but if at least ten per cent of valley voters (4,737) formally object by a June 13 deadline, this CVRD project goes to a referendum.

James Warren is the regional district’s Corporate Legislative Officer.

Meanwhile CVRD Marketing Specialist Robyn Butler explains the major upgrades being proposed for the Comox Valley Curling Centre.

In order to be counted, those electoral response forms must be received in hard copy form at the CVRD office at 600 Comox Road in Courtenay by June 13th at 4:30 p.m.
