New playground coming to Puntledge Park

COURTENAY, B.C. – Kids and families will have a new amenity to enjoy at Courtenay’s Puntledge Park.

Work is underway on a new playground structure at the popular local spot.

According to a notice from the City of Courtenay, completion of the new structure is scheduled for the end of June.

The park will include a slide pole, space walk, rock wall climbers, an overhead ladder, a wave slide and other features. Two foundations for the new structure have been installed, with work expected to be finished either this week or next week.

The Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club has contributed $20,000 to the project.
