Willemar watermain replacement project starts Tuesday

COURTENAY, B.C. – City of Courtenay crews will be working along Willemar Avenue this week to replace a watermain.

The work will stretch from 17th to 21st Street, starting Tuesday, July 3rd with preliminary layout work.

Underground construction is planned to start the week of July 9th. The City said the project is expected to be completed in mid-September.

The infrastructure work will result in intermittent single-lane closures, with alternating traffic during the construction. Traffic control personnel will be on site.
