“Come join us to ask your questions and connect with local professionals. We promise no jargon and straight talk answers.”

The event will feature some of the local non-profits from the community, who will share their stories and the work they do in the Valley.

The FEPI will provide an educational overview of philanthropy from a tax, legal and financial planning perspectives from local members of the institute.

The literacy event will be followed by the Comox Valley Community Foundation’s distribution of over $300,000 to local non-profits that are beneficiaries of permanently endowed funds held with the foundation.

On National Philanthropy Day we are privileged to witness the impact of philanthropy as we distribute over $300,000 to agencies across the Comox Valley from our 9 agency and 6 designated funds,” said Jody Macdonald, the CVCF’s Executive Director.

Light refreshments will be served at the event, and attendance is free. However, due to limited seating, registration is required. To RSVP for the event, visit eventbrite.ca.
