COMOX VALLEY, B.C. – The B.C. Seafood Festival is upon us.
The festival got underway today and runs until next Sunday in the Comox Valley. (Short and punchy)
The valley produces more than 50 percent of all of B.C.’s shellfish, and the most oysters in Canada.
The 13th annual festival features more than 85 events and tours over the 10 days.
Tours will be aboard sailboats, bikes, speedboats, on beaches and at wineries.
The kick-off to the festival is the first-ever Dock Days, running tomorrow and Sunday.
Dock Days includes outrigger canoe races, safety at sea seminars, wharf tours, sailboat stadium racing and SailFest.
The event starts at 11:00am tomorrow. (conversational)
