BC Ferries says passengers will be seeing higher traffic on its Denman Island and Hornby Island ferries.

The increase in ferry traffic will be from Monday through Saturday until next weekend.

BC Ferries says the reason for the increase is because of the Beulah Creek culvert replacement on Hornby Island.

During this time period, vehicle deck space will be limited; however, foot passenger capacity should be available.

BC Ferries the best option to travel to and from the islands over the next week and a half is to carpool or get on as foot passengers.

It apologizes for any inconvenience experienced as a result of transporting this large increase in commercial traffic.
