‘Frightgerald’ Haunted House scaring up funds for SPCA

The ‘Frightgerald’ Haunted House is back for another spooktacular year.

Last year, the haunted mansion on Fitzgerald Avenue generated roughly $250 for the Comox Valley SPCA.

This year, the entry fee is $5 per person with partial proceeds once again going to the local SPCA.

Weather permitting, the doors at 2065 Fitzgerald Ave. creak open at 7:00pm and close at 9:00pm every night until Halloween.

Resident Amy Powell said to be prepared for strobe lights and a lot of fun.

Powell said they are keeping track of visitors who lose their nerve on a ‘chicken board.’

“We’ve had 4 people chicken out so far,” she said.

Powell said the family chose to support the SPCA because they do so much for the animals in our community as well as other communities.

“So we just thought the SPCA would be the best to go for.”
