Cumberland Mayor Leslie Baird is looking ahead to 2020 after a successful and busy year.
She says one of the biggest achievements for the village this year has been getting the ball rolling on the 9.2 million lagoon system project.
“We’ve been waiting for that for such a long time to fix our system and get it into compliance and that will have started and were looking forward to the completion of that.”
She says looking ahead to 2020, lots of things are on the agenda.
“There is so much going on right now and it’s going to continue so it’s going to be hard to get everything done that we want to get done. Our staff is extremely busy and so is council. We look forward to getting complete whatever we can complete and it will be nice to have some of these things taken off our plate.”
