(Vista Radio Stock Image) A Comox Valley man is facing a number of charges, including attempted murder. Clinton George Armstrong appeared in Courtenay court yesterday. Comox Valley RCMP media relations officer, Const. Monika Terragni, said Armstrong’s arrest and charges were in relation to an incident that occurred on Monday, in Courtenay. “The public was not placed at risk as a result of this incident and the individuals involved were known to each other,” Terragni said. “Given the nature of this incident and the ongoing investigation we will not be releasing any further information.” On top of attempted murder, Armstrong is being charged with, among other things, assault with a weapon, break-and-enter, unlawful confinenment, aggravated assault, two counts of uttering threats, and mischief.
