A heads up now from BC Corrections, on 27 year old John SEWARD, just released today from custody, who is a high risk violent sex offender and is the subject of a public notification conducted by the Ministry of Justice, Corrections Branch.
SEWARD is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 161 pounds. He is Aboriginal with brown hair and brown eyes. He plans to reside in the City of Nanaimo.
He has a criminal history which includes sexual assault x 3 and sexual assault with a weapon x 2.
SEWARD has maintained a pattern of predatory and opportunistic violent sexual offending. Women ages 15-55 are at risk.
Officials are not releasing his current hometown, citing privacy concerns.
SEWARD is subject to close monitoring by authorities and 19 court-ordered conditions including, according to court documents”
“You shall not be alone with any person under the age of 16 years.”
“You shall not possess, own or carry any weapon or imitation firearm.”
“You must not attend a public park, public swimming area, daycare centre, school ground or playground.”
“You shall not consume or possess alcohol or any controlled substances.”
“You shall not enter any liquor store, beer and/or wine store or business whose primary purpose is the sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages.”
