Comox Valley RCMP looking for witnesses after Courtenay robbery

The Comox Valley RCMP is hoping the public can help identify a suspect in a robbery.

Police say around 8:25 am yesterday morning a man entered a business on the 2700-block of Cliffe Avenue.

After going inside, he showed the employee a weapon and then demanded all of the money from the cash drawer. The suspect was last seen running through the alleyway behind the businesses.

A suspect is described as a Caucasian man between 40-50 years old, approximately, five foot eight,  with a light coloured moustache.

 He was wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie, blue jeans and had his face covered by a black handkerchief with a white spider web design.

 Media Relations Officer Constable Monika Terragni says officers are “still working to gather additional evidence and would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have seen the suspect before or after the robbery.”

Anyone with information, surveillance, or dashcam footage, is asked to call the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321.
