There’s some big things happening at the Wachiay Friendship Centre in Courtenay.
A new 5000-square foot extension to the Centre now includes a high-end screen printing operation.
Managing Director Andy MacDougall says part of the expansion is setting up what they call Wachiay Studios.
MacDougall adds down the road they’ll expect business to pick up even more thanks to the expansion.

He says the Centre will start offering more screen printing courses, which they already do in elementary schools.
There’s also going to be an open house tomorrow night to check out the new expansion at the Wachiay Friendship Centre.
