BC Transit says Comox Valley residents can get a free lift on Saturday.
Free transit is being offered on Oct. 15 to help improve voter turnout. BC Transit adds local government partners make the decisions to provide the service.
Other areas on eastern Vancouver Island and the Coast getting free transit include:
- Cowichan Valley, but for local service only
- Nanaimo (Regional District of Nanaimo)
- Port Alberni
- Powell River and qathet Regional District
