RCMP say the man and his boat have been found, they thank the public for their assistance.

Comox Valley RCMP are looking for a missing man and his rowboat in Baynes Sound.
According to a statement, police got the report at around 7:30 this morning of an unmanned rowboat floating in the water near Royston.
Police say 37-year-old Christopher Mitchell was reported missing later in the morning after taking his rowboat out into the ocean overnight.
Additional search crews have been launched by the Joint Search and Rescue Centre including ground search and rescue and Coast Guard Auxiliary.
“The efforts to locate the missing man could be narrowed down by locating the row boat,” said Cst. Monika Terragni, media relations officer, Comox Valley RCMP. “The row boat is blue, between 14-16 feet long, made of fibreglass and has a square back”.
Anyone with information about Mitchell’s whereabouts or the boat is asked to call Comox Valley RCMP and quote file number 2023-3957.
