Busy day for Courtenay Fire Department crews handling half a dozen calls in a span of about twelve hours, starting late Monday afternoon.
We spoke with Courtenay Fire Department Chief Don Bardonnex who says the calls included two suspicious fires and two river rescues operations, one on the Puntledge River, another on the Courtenay River.
Bardonnex has more details on those river rescues…
Meanwhile RCMP are investigating those suspicious fires at Lake Trail School, and another later on in the Piercy Avenue area.
