A person driving at an excessive speed was caught twice in just six months.
Comox Valley RCMP says the first incident was reported on November 22 when a municipal traffic member saw a vehicle driving at 112 kilometers per hour in a 60 km/hour zone on Headquarters Road.
The mini cooper was impounded and the driver was given a violation ticket for excessive speed.
On March 13 the same traffic officer was on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway when he saw a vehicle going 106 kilometers per hour, also in a 60 km zone.

He recognized the driver as the same one from the first incident. The Pontiac Firebird was impounded for 7 days and the driver got his second violation ticket.
