CVRD looks for public feedback on climate strategy in new survey

The Comox Valley Regional District has launched a survey to gather your thoughts on a new climate change strategy.

The district is developing the regional climate action strategy, aiming to find ways to reduce emissions and build more resilience to climate change in the region.

Board chair Will-Cole Hamilton says we all have a role to play as the climate changes.

“With committed action it is possible to slow the pace of impacts locally,” said Cole Hamilton.

“We want to hear from residents on what matters to them and how climate change has already been impacting them.”

As part of making the strategy, the district is asking you to put down what climate impacts concern you the most in the survey.

The results will be incorporated into the strategy, which is set to come out in the fall.

You have until May 15 at 4:00 p.m. to complete the survey.
