Simon’s Cycles YANA Ride almost sold out

This Sunday’s Simon’s Cycles YANA Ride is almost at capacity.

“The numbers are such an overwhelming confirmation from the community!” says Patti Fletcher, Simon’s Cycles Co-owner, she continues; “We love this event and are glad the Comox Valley does, too. We are able to host 525 cyclists this year. People can register for our ride, by visiting www.yanacomoxvalley.com. We will be closing on-line registration when we have 525 cyclists registered.

Regardless of numbers we will not be accepting registrations at Marina Park on ride day this year.”

YANA provides accommodation and funding to Comox Valley families who need to travel outside the community for medical treatment for a child under 19 or for a pregnant mother.

Last year YANA helped 146 children, funded 326 medical trips and assisted with 34 emergency transfers involving local children.

YANA has four apartments in Vancouver which have Fletcher’s focus “I hear time and time again how families appreciate this home away from home. So we’ve set our goal to cover 7 months of accommodation expenses for families, to do it we’ll need to raise $45,000.”

Cyclists can help reach that goal for YANA all year round, by buying a YANA Ride bike jersey at Simon’s Cycles now. Alternatively, online pledges and donations are welcome, simply visit:
