Temporary delays, closures coming to Comox Marina Boat Launch June 23 – 25

Boaters may face delays and closures at the Comox Marina later this month.

Temporary delays and intermittent closures are expected at the boat launch from June 23 to 25 due to a Comox Bay Sailing Club project to assemble and launch new dock float sections.

The loading zone and three trailer parking stalls closest to the launch ramp will be used as a temporary assembly area.

The boat launch ramp will be closed intermittently throughout the day for 10- to 15-minute periods while dock sections are launched into the water.

Boaters are advised to allow extra time for launching and retrieving vessels, follow posted signage and directions, exercise caution around equipment and work areas and consider adjusting launch times to avoid peak periods.

Parking near the launch ramp will be reduced. The Town of Comox and the Comox Bay Sailing Club say they are working to minimize disruptions.
