Denman Island Cross Trail opens with ribbon cutting ceremony

Two new sections of the Denman Cross Island Trail have opened on Denman Island.

The Comox Valley Regional District officially opened a 3.5-kilometre section of the trail from Owl Crescent to Gravelly Bay with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A 180-metre section in downtown Denman Island has also opened.

“Completion of these two sections provides improved safety and connectivity in the Graham Lake and Gravelly Bay ferry area,” said Electoral Area Director Daniel Arbour.

The project received funding through the B.C. Active Transportation Infrastructure Grant program and the Build Communities Strong Fund Community Stream.
