Early Years Parent Speaker Series returns to Comox

The Town of Comox is bringing back its Early Years Parent Speaker Series, offering families five weeks of free sessions with local experts.

The series runs Tuesdays from Oct. 27 to Nov. 24, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sessions will be held at the Comox Community Centre, with the final session taking place at the Genoa and Spinnaker buildings at Marina Park.

The program will offer parents and guardians practical resources for navigating the early years. Free supervised children’s activities will be available during each session, along with a free meal funded through the PlanH BC Healthy Communities Grant Program.

“We are so grateful to the local experts who volunteer their time and knowledge to be a part of this series and support families in our community,” said Lindsay Welch, recreation programmer. “The series continues to expand each year, with new and returning speakers exploring a variety of topics that reflect the changing needs and interests of parents in our community. While the program continues to grow and respond to the needs of local families, its purpose remains the same: helping parents and caregivers build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and create a stronger, healthier community for everyone.”

No registration is required. More information is available here.
