North Island traffic services is reminding drivers to obey construction zones.
Traffic services was recently contacted by a construction company that drivers were not obeying the construction zone signs.
Corporal Scott Rennie says drivers were ignoring the reduced speed limit signs. Rennie says police caught 22 drivers in 3 hours not obeying the reduced speed limit.
Rennie says drivers often underestimate how much danger they put road workers in by not slowing down.

He notes that drivers should be expecting to see increased enforcement of the slow down, move over laws in the coming months.
