Mayor weighs in on city development activity

What is our primary need? That’s the question Courtenay mayor Larry Jangula brought up when discussing last year’s spending and the city’s budget going forward in 2015.

He says it’s a matter of separating needs from wants.

In 2014, the city issued building permits with a construction value of over $74 million, with a little over $37 million of that going towards the Comox Valley Regional Hospital.
